About Kautsch True Value

About Us
Family patriarch, Arthur Kautsch, left his home in Missouri and traveled by train to the Rio Grande Valley were he planned to invest in citrus. In 1932, he established Kautsch Lumber in Alamo, Texas.
Arthur’s son, Marvin Kautsch, served his country in WWII, then went to work alongside his dad in 1945.
Kautsch Lumber continued building a stellar reputation in the Valley and welcomed Marvin’s son, John, into the family business in 1971.
John led the business into the True Value organization in 1982 and soon thereafter created The Siding Source, which has grown to be the largest vinyl siding distributor in South Texas serving McAllen, Brownsville, Mission, Edinburg, Pharr, San Juan, Alamo, Weslaco and Mercedes.
Three generations at Kautsch True Value proudly represent one of the oldest family businesses in the Rio Grande Valley.
Kautsch True Value is focused on helping you create maintenance-free exteriors with products such as Georgia Pacific vinyl siding and soffit. In addition, we offer a full complement of accessories including shutters and exterior decor. We also offer Atrium replacement windows cut to fit your specific window openings. If you need a deck, we specialize in deck design, using Yellawood pressure-treated lumber, or composite decking from TimberTech. For a beautiful finishing touch, we suggest Kodiak vinyl railing. Top it all off with Classic Rib metal roofing. If the addition of a patio cover, screen room, or extra living space is on your remodeling list, we can also help with that. Kautsch True Value, The Siding Source, understands the importance and value of service to the customer…..we are dedicated to that end. Time is money, and we can help you save you both by getting your projects off on the right start. Call or come in to “experience our experience”.
